Background

Stephane Fontaine was born in Cornwall, Ontario where he developed a marked love of art. He moved to Toronto in 1996 to study at the Ontario College of Art and Design.  After graduating in 2000, he moved to Montreal where he could further his artistic development and found himself, like many artists, jumping from job to job in order to pay the bills.  In 2007, he began working in decorative art and found that it afforded him the ability to devote himself to his craft on a full time basis.  Stephane has recently returned to eastern Ontario opting to work from a home studio in order to divide his time between his commercial work and his personal projects.  He is currently working on a larger body of personal work and is seeking gallery representation.
